Siobhan Davies Scrapbook

As part of Movement Studies/Blog work, we were given the task to create a scrapbook about Siobhan Davies, via the archive 'Siobhan Davies Replay'. 'Siobhan Davies Replay' is a project that began in 2007, with the aim of collecting together all the documentation and material of Davies's work all into one place.

I based my scrapbook around one particular piece of work called 'Wyoming', originally choreographed in 1988. The reason why i chose this piece as my focus, was because it caught my eye when studying Davies as part of my A-level dance course when studying at college. I really enjoyed the different sections of the piece which feautured different characters, paternerships and relationships, and how the piece had a loose storyline. Also the general quality of movement was appealing. I wanted to expand my knowledge on this piece, since the information that im privvy to is now alot more expansive.
